We collect the minimum information required to operate the App:

Google Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided when you sign in via Google Sign-In. This is used solely to identify your account within the App.
Reading history — the IDs of books you have marked as read. This is stored in Firebase Firestore under your unique user ID and is used to sync your progress across devices.
App preferences — settings such as font size and background colour. These are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults and are never transmitted to our servers.

We do not collect: precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access, device identifiers, browsing history, or any information beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used exclusively to:

Authenticate you securely via Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication
Sync your reading history across your devices
Display your personal reading statistics within the App

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the App's core functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

5. Data Storage & Security

Your account data and reading history are stored in Google Firebase infrastructure, which is hosted in Google's secured data centres. We apply industry-standard access controls and Firestore security rules that restrict data access to the authenticated account owner only.

App preferences and cached content are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account or request deletion of your data, all Firestore records associated with your user ID will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
